!1: Best Buy Hey People,
I got this book from Amazon few days back. When I ordered the book, I expected something more, but when got the book
it was bit of let down. This one didn't had any new information for the die-hard twilight fans, it was all covered info from so many interviews done by so many people.

But rest assure, whatever the author wrote, is quite nicely done. Proper wordings & nice placements of the paras.
I loved the pictures used in this book. They are really good. If anyone has question,"Why should I buy this book?", do it for those pics.

Quality wise, nice pages, good material - all glossy. Feel like you shouldn't touch those pages incase you ruin them with your fingerprints like it happens with photographs.

Overall, buy it only if you are true twilight fan & have habit of purchasing anything related to Twilight movies,it won't be a waste of money. on Sale!

Book One in the Trinity saga. Seventeen-year-old Imogen Stromholdt lives with her father, Jeff, in the seaside town of Eden, Oregon. Her life consists of a daily routine of school, homework, and books, while Jeff makes a living writing the obituaries for the local paper. She has a dream one evening of a man with a golden pocket who is murdered. After dreaming of this mysterious man's death, she meets two strangers that change her life forever; Lucius Knight, and Necklan Nixies. Things get stranger when Imogen discovers that Necklan is a fire-wielding warlock, and Lucius is far from human. After coming into possession of the dream watch itself, Imogen becomes the center of a dangerous plot hatched by a madman named Byron Barrowite. With the help of the House of Bekker, an elite organization of warlocks and witches, Imogen will dive into the dark world beyond her front door filled with angels, dragons, voodoo, premonitions, magic, science, and her own mysterious past. But as an average human girl facing off against terrifying obstacles, including a dragon made of pure hellfire, her only weapon is the freedom of choice. Imogen's bravery wavers but her will is stronger in this charming and darkly romantic urban-fantasy of magic, murder, and destiny.

!1: Best Buy I was a bit hesitant about buying this book at first. I downloaded a sample, hemmed and hawed, and finally just bought the thing because I couldn't stop wondering what happens next. At first, the book seemed cluttered with a bunch of supporting characters. I felt like I was trying to wade through who was important and who wasn't, and the dream sequences were confusing. But hang in there! I was so glad I did. One thing did hook me pretty quickly, and that was the main character, Imogen. She's what made me take the plunge and buy the book. Despite what seemed like a slow start, I really wanted to find out what happened to her. She's a really great heroine: funny, strong-willed, smart... I could go on and on about her. She leaves so many of today's teen heroines in the dust. Imogen is not the type to sit around and mope after some mysterious supernatural boy. Nope. She's entirely, engagingly human, thrust into a world of supernatural danger in which she has a very pivotal role. She's proud of who she is and wouldn't be anyone, or anything, else than a kind, strong-willed, smart and brave human teenager.

A supernatural world has existed right under Imogen's very nose since she was born. But when this world rises up and consumes her, taking some of her old friends along and bringing new ones, she accepts these changes with the perfect mix of awe and fun. With Imogen, it's not a case of, "Oh, I can't believe it, vampires and magic exist, who ever would have guessed." Nope. Instead of taking half the book to puzzle things out and come to terms with the supernatural, her thoughts are more along the lines of, "Vampires? Magic? Cool! Let's go visit the underworld." Lucius is also great. He, also, is a character who is pretty much at peace with who he is, his vampiric nature is dangerous and sexy, protective yet supportive. I also love it that Imogen has her pick of more than one boy, and that there's no immediate sense that anyone's fated to be with anyone else. (Although I'm a strong Lucius supporter, fiery Irish teenagers are pretty great too). Porter has a real gift with characters. By the time the book is a third of the way through, I was totally into it. I loved the fire-casting Irish teenager, the fact that the supernatural gifts in the book all came with heavy price tags for the users, the vivid descriptions of setting (who wouldn't want a huge beautiful snow globe for a bedroom?), the well-drawn villains who sometimes also happen to be friends... This book is very creative, and once you get past a bit of a slow start and some confusing initial dream sequences, the pace is good, too. Plenty of action and mystery and romance.

As far as the down sides, I've already mentioned a slow and heavy start. The dream sequences eventually make sense, but to have all that information thrust on me at first was kind of confusing. Also, the book's ending gets a bit confusing, but the fabulous characters and the setting make it a worthwhile read. Since this is a series, just enough threads are left hanging that I want to buy the next to find out what happens. The book suffers from a very common indie pub problem: needs better editing. I am not a grammar/typo cop, though, so it didn't bother me. This book stands poised on the edge of a three and a four, but it's creative enough that I'm edging towards four. on Sale!

In Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver, Grace and Sam found each other.  Now, in Linger, they must fight to be together. For Grace, this means defying her parents and keeping a very dangerous secret about her own well-being. For Sam, this means grappling with his werewolf past . . . and figuring out a way to survive into the future. Add into the mix a new wolf named Cole, whose own past has the potential to destroy the whole pack.  And Isabelle, who already lost her brother to the wolves . . . and is nonetheless drawn to Cole.

At turns harrowing and euphoric, Linger is a spellbinding love story that explores both sides of love -- the light and the dark, the warm and the cold -- in a way you will never forget.

!1: Best Buy Linger by Maggie Stiefvater
Scholastic Press, 2010
360 pages
YA; Paranormal Romance
2nd in trilogy
4/5 stars

Summary: Now Sam is a human and should be staying that way and everything should be great for Grace and Sam. Instead there are new threats, from the newly turned wolves, from an angry hunter, from Grace's parents, from Grace's body itself.

Thoughts: I saw mixed reviews of this: either people loved it or they didn't see the need of a sequel and thought the four narrators muddied it were the prevailing thoughts. I was excited about the sequel as I really enjoyed the first book and thought it was beautifully written.

I enjoyed the shifting perspectives and I liked that we didn't spend too long with any of them; I feel like that helps me read faster. What I didn't like about the four narrators was lack of Grace. I didn't track how long her sections were but it felt like there was a lot more Sam and Cole than Grace, who is my favorite character. I do like Sam, who is wonderfully earnest and such a good guy, in comparison to a lot of other YA males. But I felt like Grace should have been more of a focus and she wasn't. I enjoyed meeting Cole, a musician and scientific genius who wants to forget himself entirely and be just a wolf. He was such a jerk but if he can help, I want that. Isabel also returns and has some chapters to herself. She's in a very difficult position as she is struggling with parental problems of her own plus has her dad wanting to kill all of the wolves.

Beck is still a wolf as in the first book but his presence is heavily featured in the boys' chapters and as I loved him in the first book, I appreciated that. I also liked Grace's friend Rachel who was just a funny character throughout.

I didn't like Grace's parents who have a lot to answer for in my book. They spent years basically acting like Grace didn't exist or didn't need them for anything but all of a sudden, they interfere?! And they get mad at Sam when it seems like he's in it for the long haul, and not just for sex. Most parents I know at least try to get to know the person their child is dating. I'm not sure what it is about him that they don't like. And instead of trying to slow their relationship down, maybe by insisting that he spends more time with the parents so he can demonstrate his honorable intentions or by requesting that they spend more time in a group, they outright ban him. Furthermore, it doesn't sound like Grace's grades have suffered or that she was acting disrespectfully toward her parents while dating Sam. When they start ordering her around, that's when the disrespect starts and quite frankly they haven't earned her respect. Because while one should respect one's parents, it's earned, not just taken or demanded. They suck as parents.

Plotwise, the main thread is Cole adjusting to life as a shifter and then Grace's ill health which seems to be due to her earlier bite from a wolf. That last one ends on a cliffhanger that has me frantic for Forever.

Overall: Interesting new characters and further development of characters from first book result in a good book.

Cover: Love the green and how it connects to the blue; personally I would love purple for the next book. on Sale!

When Isabella Swan moves to the gloomy town of Forks and meets the mysterious, alluring Edward Cullen, her life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. With his porcelain skin, golden eyes, mesmerizing voice, and supernatural gifts, Edward is both irresistible and impenetrable. Up until now, he has managed to keep his true identity hidden, but Bella is determined to uncover his dark secret...

Beautifully rendered, this first installment of Twilight: The Graphic Novel is a must-have for any collector’s library.

!1: Best Buy I'm new to the Twilight series. Just watch Twilight DVD#1 last week and finished reading the Novel#1 and this graphic book yesterday.

This graphic novel is definitely beautifully illustrated. But, it's too rush and missing lots of the original and essential plots and conversation. It does not cover the entire Novel#1 either.

If you have extra money to spend, buy it. Or, just borrow from your friends or the local libraries if they have it. I will not spend money on it since it does not tell a good story of the original(even though Ms. Meyer herself instructed the story line page by page behind it).

Don't expect too much because any graphic book has its limitation. However, I would still give it 4 stars since it's still a beautiful book. Other than that, just read the original novels and then watch the DVDs.

p.s. I know there is Japanese graphic version of this Twilight series authorized by Ms. Meyer. I'm looking forward to the Janpanese version (translated into English later, hopefully) since they have the tradition to do a thorough story line, at the same time, still give you room for imagination.

p.s. Agree with the Review on June 10, 2010. It said " it's almost like reading a "cliff's notes" version of the story. Furthermore, she(refers to Bella) is far too conventionally pretty. And all the other characters are drawn so much alike that I had a great deal of trouble telling them apart. I think I'll stick with the original novel. " on Sale!

The Twilight Journals set includes four gorgeous journals packaged in a collectible keepsake tin, inspired by Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Each journal features the beautiful and instantly-recognizable Twilight Saga cover art and is fully-designed throughout with images and decorative quotes from each of the books, as well as some of the classic works of literature that inspired them.

!1: Best Buy I have filled many journals, but I wasn't sure if these were the right journals for me. However, after reading the very positive reviews they have received, I eagerly ordered my own. I wanted to write another review because there are a few additional things that I noticed that weren't explained as clearly in the other reviews.

The journals are beautiful on the outside, and the covers are very much like the covers of the Twilight series books. Many other reviews talked about how the journals were "small." To me, the page size wasn't small. It was fairly comparable to other journals I've written in. However, the width of each book was smaller than I expected. Amazon says there are 385 pages total, which averages to 96 pages per journal. This is not as many pages as other journals I've had.

As others described, there are quotes in each journal which are from characters in the books, or other quotes that inspired Stephenie Meyer. The quotes from characters in the books are in their own "handwriting," as seen in the books. Another additional thing about the quotes: the quotes used come from each respective books (for example, the Twilight journal has quotes from the book Twilight, the New Moon journal has quotes from the book New Moon, etc.), and they follow chronologically through the books. Since it is structured this way, the journals tell their own story if you progress through them page by page. This was a bonus for me! I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the other quotes, but they are tied in quite nicely. For Twilight, the quotes are from Pride and Prejudice, for New Moon, they are from Romeo and Juliet, etc. They are structured in such a way that you can really see the inspiration that Meyer drew from them and how they parallel the Twilight story.

The pages aren't lined, but I don't anticipate this being a problem. It gives whomever will be writing in the journal more flexibility. Additionally, there are some very elegant forest scenes on some of the pages, which are light enough to write over, but add a nice touch very reminiscent of Forks.

If you are a Twilight fan and you are looking for a good set of journals, I highly recommend these. You can weave your own story into the pages of another story that inspired you. I am excited to continue filling mine!

Wilhelmina was just a simple child, a thirteen-year-old girl raised in a gilded-cage under her step-mother’s snide gaze, and in love with the very first man that had taken the time to learn who she really was.

But when Wilhelmina is responsible for the deaths of two runaway slaves, that innocence fades; when she slaughters in cold blood with her bare hands and revels in the blood of her enemies, that innocence had been long dead.

But when one is an immortal demon, with hellfire that can be seen burning beneath the skin, one doesn’t exactly have much innocence to cherish.

THE UNDYING is a novella of a short yet powerful tragic romance about learning to forgive and forget, or murder mercilessly in the name of true love.

Features an in-depth preview of rising cult-phenom author Amanda Hocking's engrossing and gripping novel, SWITCHED.

±1±: Best Buy This book sucked me in from the get go and I loved the fiery spirit (and hair) of Wilhelmina. We meet her at 13 and feel the sadness of her life and her determination to cling to hope and love as she grows to the age of 17. This was unique and interesting and I wanted to know more. I think the confusing thing is the ending.

This is only a short novella, but when I read the product description, it seems like it tells of the end of the world and the main character's life over a long period of time, possibly the end of the world? The end of the world is nowhere in this book and this book only delves the surface of Wilhelmina's life (and what she eventually becomes) It's actually the start of her journey and it the setting is in America's south while slaves are still trying to gain their freedom during the underground railroad.

So I am confused by the ending because it seems like the start of a good book and then it just ends. So much so that I was sure there was some error, and confused to find that the end was already here. This product description needs to be amended. Because the writing and story was good, I can't give low stars. I just don't understand why the dreams and water (without giving anything away) would be the end of this fiery girl's story. Plus the last sentence had mispelled words. Just confusing. It was like the author was on a roll and thought, "Heck. . .this is a good start, let's sell it like this". on Sale!

±1±: Best Buy The day I got this book I could not put it down. It pulls you in from the first time you open it. Although not as long as any of the "Twilght" books or "The Host," "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner" is just as jam packed with action and romance. Meyer takes you into the dark coners of the "real" vampiers you only get a glimse of in "Twilight." Amazingly writen this beautiful story is in one word Perfect.
